It is weird that when I asked a few friends where St Nicholas was from, almost everyone told me that either he comes from Lapland/Finland or that he is fictional, and thus comes from somewhere near the North Pole, according to fiction.
However, it seems that the truth was a bit different, to say the least.
I was somewhere in Turkey and came across this ancient church ruin. Now, this is where Saint Nicholas is really from !
